Home Visits

Doctor's bagIf you are housebound or too ill to attend the surgery you can request a home visit by telephoning the surgery (before 10.30 a.m. if possible). A doctor will call after the morning surgery. In emergencies, reception will have a GP speak to you directly. Please only request a home visit if you are unable to attend the surgery due to medical reasons, as the time taken for a home visit can be used for several surgery consultations.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
