Mental Health Improvement and Wellbeing Service. Get free mental health improvement and wellbeing help and support from our team of dedicated professionals through self referral.

The Listening Service: We can all feel low, sad or be faced with challenges at some point in our lives where we need a safe place to talk about things.The Listening Service provides a safe, confidential space, free from judgement by our trained Community Chaplaincy Listening (CCL) Listeners, for you to speak about whatever is causing you anxiety, or just making you feel low, and generally getting in your way of both your health and wellbeing.

One to One counselling:  provides free confidential counselling for the residents of Deeside in rural Aberdeenshire. Our counselling staff and volunteers are trained and experienced Counsellors with a wide range of specialist fields, all willing to help their clients explore and work towards addressing their individual needs. NHS Inform: Mental Wellbeing, information on all aspects of mental health from low mood and anxiety to anger and fears and phobias. 

Breathing Space: A free confidential phone service for anyone in Scotland experiencing low mood, depression or anxiety. Phone and speak to a Breathing Space Advisor: Monday to Thursday (6pm – 2am), 24 hours at weekends (6pm Friday – 6am Monday)

Aberdeenshire Primary Care Psychological Services: The Aberdeenshire Primary Care Psychological Therapies Service provides locally based work with individuals to help treat and manage common mental health problems. THis requires a referral from your GP.

Silver Cloud: SilverCloud is a website with courses you can do to improve your mental wellbeing. You can learn new ways to deal with the challenges you’re facing. It’s designed by clinical experts, and supported by the NHS and Scottish Government.

  • flexible so you can do a course at your own pace

DAYLIGHT: Daylight is a digital programme to improve anxiety based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). It’s clinically proven to help people improve their anxiety symptoms.

Daylight teaches you practical CBT techniques that help tackle the root causes of anxiety. By using Daylight for just a few minutes each day, you can start to feel more in control.

You can use Daylight via the app for iOS and Android devices.

SLEEPIO is a digital sleep improvement programme based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT.) It’s clinically proven to help address the root causes of poor sleep and insomnia. 

Sleepio is structured into six 15 to 20 minute CBT sessions.
